TikTok to Transcript

TikTok to transcript: paste a public TikTok video link and get an AI transcript with timestamps, then download TXT, SRT or VTT. 2 credits per minute.

TikTok to Transcript turns the speech in a public TikTok video into text with timestamps. Paste the video link, sign in and the tool fetches the audio, shows the length and credit cost, and creates an AI transcript you can copy or download as TXT, SRT or VTT. It is useful for quoting a creator, writing captions for a repost, studying a tutorial or keeping notes from short videos that move too fast to follow.

How TikTok to transcript works

TikTok does not offer a downloadable transcript for most videos, so this tool works from the audio. Our server looks up the public video from its link and passes the sound to your browser, which prepares it for transcription. The audio is then transcribed by an AI speech model and returned as timed segments. You see the video caption and length first, and the credit cost is shown on the button before you start, so nothing is charged by just pasting a link.

Formats, timestamps and languages

The transcript appears on the page in paragraphs. Switch timestamps on to start each paragraph with its time, such as [00:42], or off for clean text that you can paste into a caption, script or note. Download TXT for reading, or SRT and VTT subtitle files when you want to add captions to an edited version of the clip. The spoken language is detected automatically, and videos that mix languages are transcribed as spoken.

Credits, limits and fair use

Transcription uses 2 credits per minute of audio, rounded up, so a 45-second video costs 2 credits. There is no free AI plan; sign in and use paid credits from your plan. Videos up to 20 minutes are supported, and each new link counts toward the limit of 20 TikTok and Instagram links per IP address per day. Only public videos can be read: private videos, photo posts, live streams and removed videos fail. Transcribe content you are allowed to use and credit the creator when you quote it.

TikTok to Transcript: four steps

  1. Copy the TikTok link

Open the video in the TikTok app or on tiktok.com, tap Share and choose Copy link. Full tiktok.com/@name/video links and short vm.tiktok.com links both work.

  2. Get the video

Sign in and select Get video. The audio is fetched through our server and the length and credit cost are shown before anything is charged.

  3. Transcribe with AI

Start the transcription. The audio is prepared in your browser and transcribed with timestamps, usually within a minute for a short clip.

  4. Review and export

Turn timestamps on or off, copy the text or download TXT, SRT or VTT. Check names, numbers and slang against the video before you reuse the text.

AI transcription, paid per minute

Every TikTok transcript is created by AI from the audio, so sign-in is required and transcription uses 2 credits per minute of audio, rounded up. Only public videos up to 20 minutes are supported. Each new link counts toward the limit of 20 TikTok and Instagram links per IP address per day. Private videos, photo posts and live streams cannot be read.
